Welcome to TSF.

Can you boot into Normal Mode? How frequent are the restarts? See if you can install SP1 first as you should have that installed at the minimum. Otherwise, you will easily get infected by other Windows exploits again. You must install XP SP1a http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp1/default.mspx (hold off on SP2 until your computer is clean). Without SP1a, you are wide open to re-infection. When you are done, restart and run a new HijackThis scan. Post that log here.
As soon as i boot into normal mode it restarts after about a minute.

I brought the Laptop off the company I work for as they were getting rid of old machines. I havent got the windows disc either....

Any Ideas?

Boot into Normal Mode again and immediately go to Start->Run and type in shutdown -a to see if it will halt the restart issue. If it's ok now, go download the Malicious Removal Tool and run it. See if it finds anything. I suggest getting SP1a as soon as possible before we continue any further.
That doesnt help either. Its switches on for about a minute and then the blue screen of death appears...

Any other ideas?

Can you go online with Safe Mode without it shutting down or giving the blue screen? If so, do it from there.

Otherwise, get the tool from another computer and save it on a CD or thumb drive. Then transfer it over to this infected computer and run it. You may run it in Safe Mode if it won't let you run it fast enough in Normal Mode.
