I have just got a Western Digital USB External hard disk drive and connected it to my computer where it worked correctly and I could format, partition etc. The trouble came when restarting the computer the autofind does not recognised the drive and freezes. Is there a way that I can alter the way this drive is recognised?
My system is a Mesh Elite D940 with a MotherBoard: ASUSTeK P5LD2-SE Rev 1.xx, Bus Clock: 200 megahertz, BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 0209 01/09/2006. 3.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium D with 2Mb memory.
Maxtor 6V300F0 [Hard drive] (300.08 GB) -- drive 0
WD 10EACS External USB Device [Hard drive] (1000.20 GB) -- drive 1
Further information can be supplied if required. Your help would be most gratefully received.
