I only have access to 1 pc and 1 router/switch.

I know how to make the pc a tftp server with a tftp server program, which i can then upload my router config to.

I now do not have access to that tftp program anymore and am trying to find another way to save the router config(not to nvram on the actual router but to my local pc).

I have heard of peopel doing it with putty saving the log onto a file but how would you load that log??

Just download another tftp program and do it that way if you're confident at doing that. There are quite a few free ones on the Interent.
