Hi all,

I have $900 to build the best Gaming PC I can. Can anyone help me in listing out what I should get?

Config and price list would be greatly appreciated. Also best places to get this type stuff. This is my first time and am a n00b so other then buying preconfigured machines in the past I never set out on my own.

Thanks once again to anyone that can help me.

We need to know your geographical local to suggest a place to purchase parts. Do you need keyboard-mouse-monitor included in the price?
Her'es a suggested Intel i5 for about $900 --all parts from Newegg.
A suggested build. I'm not a gamer so perhaps a different GPU would better suit your needs better.

Sorry about that. Here is more info.

Live in S.F. California. There is a Fry's about 40min from my place. I also in the past have ordered from newegg.

I am looking to play most new games. Like L4D2, WOW, CODMW2 etc.

Would like to have a good video card and the performance to be good.

I do appreciate any help.

thanks.

All will work with the Mobo. The 750W Corsair will be sufficient for Tiers 2-4. For the 5970 (I understand it's very hard to find) I would want a little more.

RaidMax cases are made from light materials and are pretty poorly constructed.
I have to advise against a windowed case. The windows scratch very easily.
Cases are certainly a matter of personal preference.
The COOLER MASTER RC-690 is one of the best cases I've ever used. It's solid as a rock, very easy to work in, great cable management and superior cooling design.

The Antec 300-900 are also very good but I don't care for the colored lights.
