I would like to add 1-2 GB of Ram so that my Vista PC can be upgraded to run Win 7 or 8 and ultimately... to Win 10. I am not sure it is possible and I need help.

It's a HP that had a motherboard change after a power shutdown when the owners turned off all the electricity without warning residents... it fried the motherboard.

Can you please advise where I might find the memory sticks, either DDR2 or DDR3 for a desktop.

I am a little stumped...

I am hoping to be able to upgrade as support for Vista updates is ending for Google soon.
