Hi,

at first, sorry for my English, I am from Czech republic.

Problem: When I start my laptop, everything is ok, vaio logo and the windows loading logo. But that's everything. Loading it's like neverending.

I tried to get to bios menu and start safe mode. Files start loading and at file classpnp.sys and it stops loading.

So i click on repair my computer and the Startup repair showed me two reports: first was A patch is preventing system to start, error code 0xa and second one that system repair cannot repair this computer automatically.

I do not own cd with os, because i have oem version. Also I dont have any Repair point from using pc in the past.

Any ideas how to solve this? I am desperate, cause i have many school exams and ive got materials to school on my laptop.:(

Did you try the Restore my System option? Also it's possible to create a repair disc on another computer.

Hi, seen this on a laptop (Toshiba) for Sony should be similar.F2 is correct.
Power on the laptop
Press F2 key to enter the BIOS
Go to "Advanced" menu
Go down to "System Config"
Change SATA Controller from "AHCI" to "Compatibility"
Press F10 to save and exit, Restart computer.

Revisit windows updates.

Hi, I would like to upgrade my situation.

I can now start windows, but it takes around 15-20 minutes of loading. (Processor led is still on, no blicking)

Windows loads, everythings ok.

But, when I want to turn laptop off or hibernate it, it lags, the leds starts lighting again, without any blick (at exact moment when I click ob turnoff in start menu). It's impossible to turn laptop off.

Also, when I'm not doing with laptop anything for a while (approx. half an hour) the led starts lighting without any blick and it is impossible to do anything else, suddenly no program is responding.

It is very strange..It is working and it is not...

Any ideas?

Does it eventually turn off with the lid closed? The power button would turn it off but that's a poor solution. Check your Power Options in the Control Panel. If it's set to turn off screen then touchpad or mouse revives. If it's set to put disc(s) to sleep then sometimes you need to hit the spacebar to bring them back.
