hi guys

my firstime posting here so if this is in the wrong section of the forum then sorry for that

a while a go i installed w764 on my gx700 extreme msi as a dual boot along side vista. i had no problem with the booting it allways gave me an option to choose the os i wanted to boot, however i formated the vista partition so i could merge it with w7 using acronis. know when ever i start the laptop i dont see any boot options but just a blank blac screen with a blinking white line

any help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated

the sooner i fix this the sooner i could finish my assignments

thank you

First you need the Win. 7 installation CD...

and then follow these instructions: http://www.ehow.com/how_4836283_repair-mbr-windows.html

then Windows 7 should be able to boot, also do you have any other OS's at the moment or just 7?

is the blue screen from inside the DVD or from within windows 7???
hi mark

i finally managed to get to ms dos through the instalation dvd and followed all the steps in the link you provided unfortunatly non of then worked. so installed ubuntu on anather partition so i could do some of my assignments while trying to fix this problem. I used the grub to change the default 0 thing to default3, and that showed w7 in the loader again.

then when i tried to load w7 it just showed black screen and wouldn't load

sorry for my weak english
