I'm pretty sure that product is meant to keep GOOD batteries charged! If you have a BAD battery, I'd replace it with a GOOD battery.

Has anyone used the
VW Solar Car Battery Maintainer?
I got one and tried to use on a vehicle with a bad battery and it failed to keep it charged.
I keep the battery usable with an old Battery Tender.
