VPN and DHCP questions

Today I got the server to work, had some problem with the DHCP. Well after the cleint got its IP, I was going to connect with another server that is connected via a VPN tunnel, 2 sonicwall firewalls are connected, on different sites.
Well, to my suprise I could not reach the other server on the different site, no pring response. Now, could this has anytning to do with that they are not the same domain, the other server is a SBS 2003. Can you have a trusted domain from the 2003 R2 server to a SBS 2003, I know it is not possible the other way.

Also, how do I do when I want my server 2008 handling the DHCP to all the clients, and that includes the clients on the other sites that is connected via VPN tunnel.

Is there anything at the remote site that can connect to the server at the "main office"? If not then you'll need to make sure you have setup your firewall rules to allow traversal between the sites. Are both sites using the same IP address range? Are the routers handling IP's or is the SBS server? If it's the SBS server, how is the remote server getting an IP address? My guess would be that both locations are using different subnets and the firewall rules haven't been established to allow traffic to go between the subnets.
Oki, well at the remote site, the server is a SBS 2003, and there it is the firewall that handles the DHCP. The IP range is not the same in the remote site as in the head office.¨

I dont know you understood what I wrote before, I was very tired last night, so I try again I There as 2 firewalls that uses a VPN tunnel. The server at the head office uses Windows server 2008 R2. We also have a older server, SBS 2003, at the head office, and when I get the IP from that DHCP server I can acces the remote server, thats why I was wondering if you have to use the same domain, I just thought it was weird, because both the new server and the old server uses the same network, but from the new server I can not accces the VPN tunnel that the firewall uses.
