Im about to try to put my voodoo 3 3000 16mb card in my comp and i wanted to know will directx 9 be compatiable with it???

I experienced many problems running DX 9 games on a Voodoo3 (I had tried to play Combat Flight Simulator 3 on it with horrible results). You must understand that it is a very old card with outdated drivers.

Just put directx 7 or 6 on it.

I have that same card and it has no problem with directx9. I have dual boot with windows xp and windows me and it works fine with games and directx9.0a. The only problem is its 16mb so you can play the newest games out, but thats coz its just an old card, not incompatibilty or stuff like that. Voodo 3 is safe with directx9 as far as i have noticed on my computer.
