I have a question and I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask it, but its a place to start.
I want to build a home network using VMWare....it is possible. I'm not really that familiar with VMWare, but it is something we are using alot at my work place. I was going to buy a new PC for the kids, but I thought I could just use a VM Host on my main PC to create a couple of VM machines. My biggest question is how to set up access to these machines from other rooms. I've never not much networking...so this would also be a great learning experience for that too.

If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions. Please pass them on.

Thanks,
Travis

I truthfully don't see your requirements as fitting VMWARE's capabilities. What would you hope to accomplish? Since it's strictly software, you still have to operate everything using the same keyboard/mouse/display.
