Currently, when I wish to change the default sound device, (I toggle between speakers and headphones depending on time-of-day), I have to change the default sound-device in control panel, then I have to restart the application (iTunes, FireFox, etc.) to get the application to acknowledge the changed output device.
Why?
WoW can dynamically change the sound output device at the application level...why can't other apps (that don't have this flexibility) register the change made to the default output device from the OS level?
Restarting an app is such a hassle...
