Hey everyone, I reciently built a computer for a friend, and after everything was built, I installed a legal copy of Vista Home Premium on it. During the past few days though, the computer has begun freezing. It's not so much as a full system freeze, as a stuttering. Audio playback begins to loop, and you can't do anything, but after a little while, the system returns to normal.

I have installed the latest video drivers, but haven't been able to think of much more than that.

Here's a list of the hardware.

ECS P35T-A LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX(G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

FSP Group Blue Storm II 500W ATX 2.2 SLI Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Retail

Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80571E7200 - Retail

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ - Retail

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

LG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner w/ SecurDisc Tech Black SATA Model GH20NS15 - OEM

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

700W? They quote 450W as min, I ran that system through the PSU calculator and even after including 30% it said 500 would be ok. I also have an FSP 600W with 4x18A rails, think I could swap the 500 for the 600?

hi ya I have had this with my sys and got the wrong PSU on my with that card it says 26A min ,from your link Minimum of a 450 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amp Amps.)
Minimum 550 Watt for SLI mode system.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 30 Amp Amps.)

it says 24A and 30A so your under powered by 6A or 12A thats the best I can say go for a bigger one with 26A or more

they would if you linked 2 rail you will get 36A,but I had a look at the spec for the 600w and does say you can run that card so give it a go but try and monitor the the volt with some software to see you start getting the volts drop ,so with it running you some thing like 11.5 then the sys will fall over as the card uses more power
