Hello, I sure hope you can help me. It looks like I have a common problem. Thursday night I openned a site that openned a popup. It left me with three new icons and I kept getting virus attack alerts. I traced it to http://viruswebprotection.com/shandler.php. I ran ad-aware and PC Tools virus programs and cleaned out the listed spyware. No viruses were listed. I tried to restore to two earlier dates and after that didn't work restored the quarantined files. Then the only way to startup was in safe mode. I tried a system recovery from windows. That goes through it's run then asks to verify my program. This gives me a blue screen and stops working. I'm running XP that's three years old on a Gateway 3200XL. I can't connect to the internet from that machine. I see from other posts people need to post logs. Is it OK for me to put the logs on a disk and post from this machine?
