Hi there,

My friend reffered me to this site in the hopes that someone here could help me with my virus problems. I don't know much about computers, so I can't really tell what the problem might be, but I will try to give a good discription of it:

I have an anti-cirus program called AVG which keeps putting alot of viruses in quarantine but cant heal them. The viruses are sometimes unknown and sometimes called Trojan's or something. What the virus does is constantly give me error pop up's asking whether i would like to send a message to windows about the error. When I do this, it automatically shuts down whatever it was I was doing. In short, I can't go on the internet, download files, recieve files and unzipp files at all. When I check to see where the virus comes from, it says that it is located in my Temporary Internet Files. So offcourse I went to go check the files, but turns out I don't even have a Temporary Internet File on my PC...which is also strange. Now after a few days I have stopped getting messages from my AVG that I have a virus, but still I cannot do anything without getting the Error messages.

I hope you all have enough information on it now, maybe there is something you can do to help? It would be appreciated.

Shyira.

I know someone with AVG and every time they tried to use Juno software (which uses internet explorer), it said there was a virus in the temporary internet files.

If this is anything like your case, you should swithch from AVG to something much better, like Trend Micro Internet Security (it's only $50 and well worth it for a Windows user). You ALSO should not use Juno or another Internet Explorer dependent email client; use Thunderbird. Finally, use Firefox. See if your virus problem goes away.

That doesn't show how the tests were conducted, it doesn't talk about general internet security, and it doesn't compare all the main competition in every test. Not to mention that most of the main programs came out with new and improved versions since those tests were conducted. Anyway, you want complete protection from viruses, hackers, spyware, and a firewall, not just virus protection.
