virus please help?

edit: when i tried starting in safemode the screen went black and then lines of grey sentances/code showed up.... idk what to do... the codes just stayed there... nothing happened.

and also, i was not downloading anything when this happened, but i was watching a movie on NovaMov. suddenly, my firefox browser closed and a supposed "XP firewall is turned off" notification popped up but after a while, i realized that this was not a legit windows notification... then bubbles in the lower right hand corner kept popping up saying "warning! this computer may have been hijacked. please install the security update" and "this computer has detected a virus that may harm and damage your computer please download ..." and a fake scanner kept popping up along with a notification saying there were 30 critical objects... the program is called ugh.exe and / or wsntify.exe (not quite sure about the 2nd one but it starts with a w)

i'm glad you unclosed this thread butt you guys mentioned something about logs? if you guys need it, do you have any ideas on how i could transfer from my infected computer to this one?
