I was searching my emails via hotmail.com to try to find the correct spelling for my friend's last name (in his signature). In the search results I saw an email from hi5 - he had posted a comment in September. I don't visit that site often - like once a year or so.

I clicked the link to read his comment and had to sign in. I didn't remember the password (I don't think) and after one attempt I received an error message that my password was being reset and I was being sent a verification link. I clicked on the link in the new email and entered a new password.

I didn't get a chance to do anything but delete a few friend request before I noticed that the time on tool bar was changing every minute or so. So, I clicked the time and saw that the date was progressing by 1 DAY every second!

When I adjusted the day back to today's date it just continued to progress by one day. I went to uncheck the connect with windows time server option but that didn't change anything. I instantly ran AVG (I had scanned my computer over night and had no viruses).

Anyway, since the computer's date is constantly increasing by one day AVG said the scan had been in progress for 59 days.

What has happened? Is this a virus? If so will AVG be stopped from finding it since the day is constantly increasing? What else can I do?
