I have recently upgraded the memory of my Dell Dimension 4100 from 128mb to 512mb.
Everything was cool until i started getting warning messages staing that I was running out of virtual memory and was instructed to increase my paging file size.
I did as I was told but alas, I still recieve the error messages. I then looked at my task manager to see what processes were running in the background and I have at least 25 could this be the source of the problem ?
Anyway my newly upgraded PC now runs at about the same speed as a 3 legged horse

I'd do a comprehensive spyware and virus scan, that will probably turn up something.
