I have no idea why, but for some reason all of a sudden I can't play any computer games.
I have a nVidia Geforce II that has been running flawlessly for about a year now, and I have been playing the same games with great FPS for a long time.
However, all of a sudden, in the past few days, I cannot get any kind of playable FPS playing the same games that I have always played.
For example, I play army ops. I usually get FPS in the 40's and 50's, now I cannot play the game because my FPS is in the 0's and 10's. This is the same for every game... I do not recall changing any settings and I don't know if I accidently messed something up but I have gotten all the latest drivers for everything, I have reinstalled the games. I also cleaned out all background applications and processes, and nothing is out of the ordinary in that department. And the problem prevails.
Also, my computer will run fine when I boot it up, and continue running fine until I attempt to play one of these games. When I exit the game, my computer's desktop runs as sluggish as the computer game was, and continues to be sluggish until I reboot again.
Please... I am very frustrated. Can anyone help? I have no clue why all of a sudden this happened...
