Video messed up

My setup:
Windows 7 build 7000
Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB DDR2-800
ASUS M3A78-EM AMD 780G AM2+ mobo
AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE
Sony blu-ray drive

Heres the story:

Built an HTPC.
Bought Zotac 9500GT 512mb GDDR2.
Installed it. Worked fine.
Installed drivers, rebooted.
The image is now corrupted. I did a system restore to before the driver install.

I think the OS is to blame, but I'd like to know what you guys thought.

yeah its gotta be an os thing. do you have the windows disk still? i had a corrupt windows and if i booted with the disk in (not booted form the disk, just boot from the HDD) it would usually go. i dont know, im not liking how windows has set this trend where products are usesless until their fourth generation. its dumb.
