I have just installed a dvd burner (hp dvd300e) and it appears to work fine. I have two software packages to edit videos-- Pinnacle 8 this loads fine but when it comes to the burn dvd section..I get an error report and it shuts down. The other is PowerDirectorPro 2.5... when I try to run after installing...it wont!

Any ideas guys?

Don't know if it applies but they may be conflicting with each other like Roxio and Nero does...Pick one and delete all signs of the other and see what happens.
