Hi. I've decided purchase some video editing software to start making dvd's for the family, weddings, graduations, birthdays and such. Does anyone have a good software suggestion and or suggestions on getting started with the video stuff? I'm not looking to spend a huge amount of money right now, maybe in the future.

Thank you so much.

ZS4 is a free, fully featured video editor. See the green tabs at the top to download the program and tutorials.

As you're new to video editing, you might not have all the required video codecs. If you have any problems opening or saving your videos, download the K-Lite Codec Pack (3rd one in the list) so you can work with any video format.

A little pricy, but have a look at Sony Vegas 6 (NLEditor) and Sony DVD Architect 3.0 if you want to author and burn pro looking DVD's.
