Video Card/USB Conflict....

After just getting Broadband once again after 6 months without ive realised the same problem is occuring that i had when i had it before. It is that my screen will "click" and magnify (I lose my Start panel on the left of my screen and half my icon tray on the right on the right of my screen, but lose nothing vertically) for a varied amount of time and then it "clicks" back to normal. Ive realised that my IRQ16 which my graphics card (radeon9200) is on is also conflicting with 2 usb ports (Intel(R) 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller 24D2 + 24DE), which apparetly is not a issue on modern computers using XP? Also on start up i now get 2 beeps and once while my screen was magnified i restated, and whilst its stayed magnified on start up i got 3 beeps. I read on an earlier thread on here that another user was getting similar problems, but with the screen freezing not magnifying. The reply was sugesting his comp was to hot, ive checked mine and its fine. Id really would apprechiate any help on this matter. Thanks.

Are you using a usb port for your broadband connection? If so try switching
to a regular ethernet connection, using a nic card, or onboard ethernet, if
available. Im sure there is another fix, but Ive ran into similar problems on
pc's trying to use usb for broadband. I found using a ethernet was a fast
simple cure.
It'll also give you better performance because it'll no longer be using the overhead required by USB.
