First does the pixelpipeline size and memory type effect useage.
Iam trying to usea ASUS A8N5X MB with a EVGA 256-P2-N376-AX Geforce 6800GT. So my question really comes to would these two work together.

The pixel pipeline and memory will affect speed and capability. More pipelines means more perfoamnce per clock cycle and the memory needs a good bus (256-bit on the 6800GT) and is usually DDR3 speed, which is plenty fast for virtually anything.

Thanks

Thank you both for your information. The reason why I mentioned the pixelpipelin was to determine if that has to be matched to the motherboard in some obscure prerequist.

Thanks again

Yeah everything should work out fine. However, pixel pipelines may not always mean greater performance. The X1800 cards have 16 pipelines and are comparable to 7800s which have 20 or 24 pipes.
