hi, i have an ATI radeon 9700 pro mobility 128mb on my laptop. the screen on my laptop is a 15.4" WXGA WIDE-SCREEN TFT LCD DISPLAY Max: 1280x800 PIXELS and when i first bought the laptop, before i reformated the hd, the screen was able to go to the res 1200x800, but now, after downloading the latest catalyst drivers (http://www.station-drivers.com/page/atidriv mobility.htm), i am only allowed to go to 1024x768 maxed out. The laptop didnt come with a driver disk, and any help would be much appreciated (i checked ati.com but alas no help, unless i majorly overlooked something)

Hi,

I saw where you have the Catalyst drivers. I highly recommend that you take a look at and try the Omega drivers for ATI. They seem to do a better job in a lot of cases. Here is a link so you can decide which is best for you:

http://www.omegadrivers.net/

I think it might be best to download them and compare them to what you have.

go to display settings and advanced, somewhere in that collection of tabs should be a tick box which says 'Hide modes that this monitor cannot display' if it is ticked untick it, then try. Post back
