So as I was on my computer.. It freaked out just like an old super nintendo would freakout with al the crazy green yellow and red lines and then froze and gave me the blue screen, causing my system to restart.. Wen the windows comes upp it still shows a checkard board or plaid pattern.. and will give me another blue screen wen it tries to boot windows... I've ran Virus scans and the chkdsk /r but it found nothing wrong.. or it doesn't finish @ all..

It then did it a second time showing different colored dots on the screen

I don't know about your problem, but many years ago I had this same problem, the sound would continue to play until the BSOD and then I need to hard reset the PC. I then had a X1950PRO ATI graphics card and it was mailfunctioning so I got another under warranty, so to me this would indicate a GPU error..

Safe mode ran twice now won't go through with anything... and it says... ahem

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: nv4_mini.sys

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen, restart your comp. If the screen appears again follow these steps.

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or Software manufacturer for any windows updates u might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable bois memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 yadda yadda yadda

Hi this is about your error code
Bug check 0x50 usually occurs after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).

Another common cause is the installation of a faulty system service.

Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

Resolving the Problem
Resolving a faulty hardware problem: If hardware has been added to the system recently, remove it to see if the error recurs. If existing hardware has failed, remove or replace the faulty component. You should run hardware diagnostics supplied by the system manufacturer. For details on these procedures, see the owner's manual for your computer.

Resolving a faulty system service problem: Disable the service and confirm that this resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer of the system service about a possible update. If the error occurs during system startup, restart your computer, and press F8 at the character-mode menu that displays the operating system choices. At the resulting Windows Advanced Options menu, choose the Last Known Good Configuration option. This option is most effective when only one driver or service is added at a time.

Resolving an antivirus software problem: Disable the program and confirm that this resolves the error. If it does, contact the manufacturer of the program about a possible update.

Resolving a corrupted NTFS volume problem: Run Chkdsk /f /r to detect and repair disk errors. You must restart the system before the disk scan begins on a system partition. If the hard disk is SCSI, check for problems between the SCSI controller and the disk.

Finally, check the System Log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help pinpoint the device or driver that is causing the error. Disabling memory caching of the BIOS might also resolve it.

The card maybe in a compartment on the underside of your laptop you can open and remove then reseat it

Did the chkdsk no errors..

I just replaced my Hardrive cuz my last one crashed.

And wen I hit f8 half the letters of the menues are light and the other half of the letters are darker. All random.

Will freeze upon all safemodes..

I couldn't get to my Avirus anyways if I wanted to.

Ah the bad old blue screen. I used to have it often. Then if I just keep the laptop shut for a few minutes and then restart it would seem to be gone. But some other time, it appeared again. Again I did the closing and rebooting thing. This however did not work eventually and every time i restarted, the blue screen used to appear.
Different things can be done for this.
If you could some how go into the safe mode, you can clean the system of virus and delete it, if the viruses had been the cause of that.
The other cause of this blue screen is something related to the drivers. Try to remember if you had updated something recently and if so try to delete it or go back to a stage before the installation (if you had saved the last good configuration)
If neither of this works, call the engineer to fix it.
I am not a pro, but I am just saying the things I did and the way it got fixed for me. Sorry for my bad english, from eastern europe and just learning the language. Good luck
