Anybody have any problems with the new 4.40 Via 4 in 1 drivers?
I just installed them in my new Atlon Xp 1800 with Asus A7V333 mobo and the computer would freeze at shut down. I had to reset my memory back to 2.5 cas latency to make it not freeze. But after I rolled back to the 4.38 drivers, it is running fine now.

Also, does anyone know what the difference is between setting the bios at optimal or turbo? I found my comp boots up much more slowly if I set it at Turbo. WOnder why.

For home use, I recommend running at the optimal setting. Turbo boosts your DIMM to Cas2 and slightly decreases your cycle access times. But, in realistic terms, CAS2.5 is much more reliable and runs cooler. As for performance, for a home user, the difference is so negligable I don't think you would even see one. Put the new drivers in and run CAS2.5. Thats what I would do at least ;)
