So I have a new LCD monitor with both dvi and VGA input. My video card has only dvi outputs. I'm currently using a dvi to VGA converter to connect to the VGA input on the monitor.

My question is will I notice a visible increase in quality if I buy a dvi cable to connect the tower to the monitor?

That would depend somewhat on the PC. I've noticed some improvement in quaity using DVI on higher end PC's.

TECHNICALLY there's is an improvement , but VISUALLY you won't be able to tell the difference at all.
