Hi,
I have Hp mini 2140. I had trouble with starting a game and in forum was that i have to click on Do not use this device (disable) in device usage list. After restarting i have black screen and i cant do anything. I can hear sounds from xp and clicks but i dont see anything. In forum was that i have to start Safe mode or VGA mode and here is the problem too. In VGA mode i have black screen and i can hear xp sounds only too. And when i start Safe mode, it starts loading, and after loading SPTD.sys i have black screen with blinking stroke top left, and its nothing doing next. Can u help me pls? (Sry 4 my bad english)

Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration?

Hey, when you start you machine you are displayed a black screen with sound right?
Is it possible to press ctrl + alt + del
this should bring task manager
click on processes if explorer is present click on end
click on file, new task run
type explorer.exe

You may want to give chkdsk [drive letter] /r a go in recovery console.

Yes, i tried Last Known Good Configuration. Nothing happens.
farrad i dont know what exactly you're thinking. When i logged to my xp account I tried press ctrl+alt+del and nothing appeared. And i dont know what is recovery console :-(

I know that when is comp starting and booting i can boot xp or recovery is it it?

Try a repair install.

i havent xp cd now. Any other idea?

Then when pc is starting keep pressing f8 and choose recovery console like you said it was available.

then when loaded type
chkdsk C: /r

Or go to another machine where it is functioning and burn a CD called ultimate boot cd. Then you can access the recovery console on that. You need to get a cd to go further if the two of the above does not work.

Ok, i recoveried comp and all its ok, but it deletes all programes and games so its like new computer :-( and when i recoveried it, are there still all drivers or i must install it again? Cause i havent drivers on cd or hard.

Check Device Manager - any yellow question marks or exclamation points? If so, you will need drivers. You can find them online at the manufacturers website.

I'm assuming this recovery was built in when you purchased the PC - so that would mean it would more than likely recover the PC to like it was when you bought it.. So it should still have all the drivers.

When i open device manager, i have there: Batteries, bluetooth devices, disk drivers, display adapters, keyboards, monitors, mice and other pointing devices, computer, processors, ide ata/atapi controllers, usb controllers, sound video and game controllers, network adapters, system devices, pictures controllers, HID standard controllers. thats all. BUT I HAVE PROBLEM WITH WI-FI CONNECTION.

I have problem with wi-fi connection. It writes Limited or no connection. On my normal computer is wifi ok but on notebook isnt.

Click the plus sign next to Network Adapters - any yellow question marks or exclamation points?

Enter command prompt by clicking Start > Run > Type in cmd > Press Enter.

Command prompt will open - type in ipconfig /all - post the results.

I think you posted the same results twice. Both results are exactly the same.

Also, if you could translate that to english - it would be easier for me to diagnose the problem. Thanks!
