Okay, so earlier today my friend came over, because he was having a PC problem. I shut off my PC, unplugged the power cable and monitor cable, and hooked it up to my friends to try it out. Well long story short his problem was rather simple: a dead power supply.
Anyway, I hooked the power and monitor cables back to my machine, and started up, and, well...nothing happened. Everything started up, but on my monitor was nothing; it remained black and the green power light on the bottom was flashing green. Then, I noticed that the power light on my case was full red...no flickering, just red. I also heard by CD ROM and DVD ROM spinning.
First I tried unplugging the CD ROM and DVD ROM...Nothing.
I then tried swapping out the video card with another...Nothing.
In the end I found that a CD was in the CD ROM and a DVD was in the DVD ROM. I took them both out, reattatched them, started it up, and still nothing.
It still seems to be constantly trying to spin the two ROMS. As soon as I manage to open them, they close right back up.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
