Hi, lately I've been noticing that on most of the games I play there is an annoying amount of tearing when things are moving too quickly. I also play a lot of games that do not have the option to turn vertical sync on. Is there any way to turn vertical sync on for all games? Alternatively, if you have another solution to the tearing problem I'd be happy to hear it.

My graphics card is a Radeon x1300/x1550 series, my monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 940BW, and I'm running windows xp professional.

"Screen tearing is a phenomenon in video where a newly rendered frame overlaps a previously rendered frame, creating a torn look as edges of objects (such as a wall or a tree) fail to line up." -wikipedia

The most recent games I've played aren't commercial titles. They are flywrench and brain damage. These games do not have any settings to alter. I also played osmos recently, which did have the option to turn vertical sync on, which fixed the problem.
