Hello everyone, I'm new here...
I'm looking here for support on my friends Compaq C700 notebook computer with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. He has a Verizon BroadbandAccess USB720 EV-DO Modem and while I understand Vista is a resource hog especially on a portable computer, I was using my knowledge to clean it, set it up to boot faster, run faster and disabling several useless Services. But while I was disabling Services, the EV-DO modem was flashing its light like it normally would while connected to the wireless network but as soon as I restarted the computer to save the changes I made, the VZAccess program cannot find any Networks. So what I did to try to fix the problem was go back to the Services and look at some that had a possibility of relating to wireless networking and that didn't work (there are so many Services in Vista, it's mind-boggling :4-dontkno) then after I attempted at that, it still didn't work, I then unplugged the USB720 modem and plugged it back in and while the VZAccess configured it, it came up with "Unable to create new connection: 711". I have since reinstalled the VZAccess program and it now comes up with Public WiFi network but no Verizon networks while still giving me the "711" error :upset:.
I know I could've made one stupid little mistake while doing the Services so much would be appreciated .
