Every time I log on to my computer I get this error message from Verizon On Line Updates saying Error connecting to the internet.Make connection failed due to an internal error. 0x82600322. How do I get it out of my Windows XP. If I upgrade to Windows Vista will it be explunged. This error was loaded onto my computer from a Verizon CD.

It is probably set to load when the computer starts up. You should be able to go to Start > Run and type "msconfig" w/o quotes. Then go to the Startup tab and look for a checkbox relating to Verizon's software and uncheck and click OK. Reboot the PC and hopefully the error will be gone as the software shouldn't load anymore on boot. When you reboot you will also get a box with a checkbox, just check it and you won't see it again. :)

Otherwise, if that fails, can you remove the program from Add / Remove programs?

If this is an antivirus program the above procedure(s) will cause it not to run, so you should have alternate Antivirus software in place to protect your PC.
