My cursor recently kept on sticking when I double-clicked on my CD drive, forcing me to power down. It has now disappeared altogether. I don't think it can be anything to do with connections - the Bios says "found CD Rom 24 x 10" when I power up. Has anyone experienced similar problems?

1st thing.. try check the autoexec.bat and config.sys, see if any cdrom driver installed from there.. if yes.. try remove it.

2nd thing... will let you know after you try this..
