UT and fatal exception

I am having a problem with ut where if I play on line when I get into a heavy firefight I get booted with a fatal exception error with a sound.vxd.I have a P4 2.0 ghz,P4s533 (Asus),GF3 vid Win98 with onboard sound from c-media yet I can play single player as long as I want no problem.Any ideas whats up?

Someone's gotta say it.

Try patching UT or upgrading to Windows XP. Maybe that'll help. Also, I have never tried to play online so I don't know. Will soon.
