Couldn't Mount File

The disk image isn't initialised, contains partitions that aren't recognisable or contains volumes that haven't been assigned drive letters. Please use the Disk Management snap-in to make sure that the disk, partitions, and volumes are in a useable state.

Hello, this is the message I get when I double-click on my Windows XP virtual drive which is in a folder on my C drive in Windows 10. What is the first thing I need to do, please, to allow me to use the virtual drive?

Thanks.

That file is only 36MB in size. Doesn't seem like it contains anything yet. What is it you're trying to do here? Create a Hyper-v VM that runs XP?
