I'm considering getting one or two SATA HDDs to give the old PATA HDDs a rest. I have never used SATA before, but it couldn't be that hard to set up.
I have a A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard that supports four SATA-300 drives and has one external connector for 16 external e-SATA drives - i think.
I'm not sure if I should get one high capacity SATA-300 drive, or setup a RAID-0 so that I can get double the performance and capacity. If I do use RAID-0 i will end up getting a theretical 600MB/s, but can the computer handle that much data flow anyway?
I'm going to use my older PATA 120GB and 160GB HDD as storage since I do alot of intense work on this machine.
Thanks for any help.:smooch:
