Using Promise controller card on ASUS P4C800 Deluxe

I have an ASUS P4C800 mobo that already has two legacy controllers on it so it can do both RAID 0 and/or 1. But when I try to put a third CDRW drive on, it doesn't seem to work correctly. I tried adding a Promise Ultra 100 TX2 controller but that does not seem to work correctly either. Does anyone know if that ASUS mobo can handle another controller card, and what would it be if it can? I want to have a third CDRW to be used only for packet writing. Any suggestions? Thanks.
