Hello,

My specs are:

AOpen AX4BS-V (Intel 845S Chipset)
P4 2.4 533 FSB
512 MB SDRAM
Palit Daytona GeForce4 Ti 4200 128MB
Seagate 60GB
Liteon DVD and CDRW
SoundBlaster Live 5.1
Samsung TFT 171N
Windows XP

The m/b only supports upto 400MHz FSB and since updating to the latest BIOS revision (because the older version was not detecting CPU Fan speed) I now get the following message on boot:
"The chipset does not support 533Mhz FSB, Do you want to continue Y/N"

I continue and everything appears to be running fine.

Am I likely to run into any problems. Is it okay to run the processor on this board or vice versa?

The motherboard and RAM are obviously the bottleneck in my config but I don't really need to replace it just yet - that is, if I don't have to..

Thanks in advance for any comments.

I don't think you're damaging anything, though obviously you're not getting the performance that your processor can deliver. In On their web site for that processor, Intel does mumble something about insuring your machine supports the 533 FSB, though I can't imagine what harm it might do. I have that exact CPU sitting in a box here, waiting for the last couple of peices for my new system. :)
