Here is my issue. My Modem and Router are located in my basement with the family computer. My personal computer, Blu Ray player and Xbox 360 are all upstairs. Wireless G connection runs very slow to my personal computer. I can get a wireless N router and adapters for my 360 and computer but the blu-ray player (used for streaming netflix) must be connected via a cable. My first idea was to run a cable from the downstairs router to a router (thatd i would have to buy) in my room. However, running that cable would be a major pain.

My question is: Can I use my desktop, which is connected wirelessly, as a bridge to my blu ray player and 360? So can I get a few lan cards put in my PC and hook them up with an ethernet cable to the blu ray and 360?

Any help is much appreciated.

Well, since you have already stated the wireless connection runs slow, I'm not sure how connecting a bunch of other stuff to it, especially streaming Netflix, is going to work.

Truthfully, I'd bite the bullet and run the cable, with a simple Ethernet switch you can have full speed connections.

Im willing to get the Wireless N router which should help immensely as far as speed goes. Id have to go through 80ft of floor and three walls to get the cable to where it needs to be.

Well, I predict you'll be somewhat disappointed in the true throughput of 802.11n, especially if it's going a pretty long distance. It's just not the "silver bullet" that many think it is. Wired connections will still vastly outperform even the fastest wireless link.
