I have an older Dell desktop system that is userid/password protected. Since I purchased a laptop, the desktop has gotten very little use. Over time, I have forgotten my userid and password and cannot perform any administrator functions (delete programs). Is there any way to recover this info so I can clean up the system?

Unfortunately we can't help with bypassing or retrieving passwords on this forum.
Your best course of action would be to backup any data you need, then reformat and reinstall Windows.
