Hi,

Im using Winsows XP Home edition.
I need to change my password for my account, but user accounts will not open.
When I click the icon in control panel, nothing happens, so i cant change my password!

Plz help

my account is a administrator account

all of the accounts on my computer are...

Right click My Computer, Manage, Users & Passwords, and check if there's some issue that's preventing you from accessing that CP entry.

i dont see anything that says users and passwords when i open the computer management window

OK, so it's "Local Users and Groups", the idea is the same. :)

I think it's time to dust off the XP CD and do a system repair. If you're missing stuff like that, who knows what else is broken. :rolleyes:

uhh how do u run a system repair?

if its sfc /scannow then i have already tried it and it doesnt help D:

Boot the XP CD and follow the prompts. I've never had to repair my XP systems, since I have regular GHOST backups, but it should be pretty obvious if it's like W2K.
