my USB ports on my laptop does not reconises anything that i plugin like my printer nad ipod. i need help on knowing what is the problem. my laptop is a toshiba

take a look in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Do you see any yellow exclamation marks or red 'X's?
