Good day everyone at the Tech support Forum, My name is Jonathan and this is my first post 
Please forgive me if this post's topic belongs in another forum
I've been snooping around the internet for a while in my ample free time over christmas looking for some alternative uses for all these flash drives i have lying around, one such web page i came across suggested turning a usb stick into a sort of anti-virus program in itself, containing powerful spyware/malware detection software and possibly running a seperate OS to the one on the computer it is connected too in order to "rescue" laptops and desktop computers which have been infected with malware and other such nasties which have essentially crippled the machine.
Would such a device be useful in such a situation where malware has infected a machine and when some of these evil programs stop you using your installed anti-virus software? (This has happened to me before) and if so what would be the most effective setup?
Sorry if the answers to my quiestions are common knowledge but i havn't had much look with google so far
