Hi, i could use some direction. I am using a Canon scanner 5000f. I was having a problem where all too often, i'd get the message that there was an error connecting to the scanner, and i'd have to unplug it and plug it in again. I asked Canon, and this is what they told me:

"The error is related to the amount of power supplied through the USB
cable. Please make sure that the latest driver version for the USB ports
on the computer are installed on the computer. "

i have no idea where to begin, and this problem is driving me crazy. any ideas? thanks!
