recently computer crashes, no floppy disk, does not seem to support usb boot, and need to boot to dos in order to run some diagnostic tools. successfully boot from cd by using ultimate boot cd 4.1.1, but the problem is usb port not supported. my question is whether i can use the usb driver existing in the crashed system(I can still access its file through different tools) to help recognize the usb port. the concerning questions are

(1) is this idea feasible?
(2) how can i find the specific driver for usb in the crashed system
(3) is the usb driver already coming with the system only for win xp? would the driver for dos be different?

thanks!!

you cant extract the usb drivers from crashed system, the windows driver are diferent to the DOS drivers. USB drivers are only loaded for specific dianostic tools like "norton ghost", this drives will have installed for use it.
You can have USB support with "windows Live CD", download and try it.
