I am trying to transfer data from my Dad's PC over to mine using a portable USB drive but when I plug the USB Drive into my Dad's PC it doesn't even recognise it.
I've been into "My Computer" to check whether it's there but it isn't. I've even tried it with an MP3 Player & a different USB Drive but still the same problem.
It was working fine a month ago when I last checked but now it isn't. I've also been into Device Manager to see if the USB ports on the PC are working properly and there doesn't seem to be any problem there.
What could be the problem and how am I able to solve it? The PC with the problem is running Windows 98.
It is Windows 98... So is there no way it will recognise a USB device? I only ask because I have around 8gb of files that needs to be transferred from that PC to mine and I have no other way of doing it. I even tried transferring the files to CD 700mb at a time but that PC doesn't have a CD-RW drive, only a CD ROM Drive.
