Usable RAM

I just upgraded my Samsung Q430 laptop from 4 GB of RAM to 8 GB. However, when I look at my computer settings, I'm told that only 7.86 GB of RAM is usable. What happened to the other 140 MB?

Possibly not registering all of the RAM..... not uncommon with OEM units.
See what shows in the Bios.
You'll never miss the 140MB as few games/apps can utilize over 3GB.
