Hello stikyskate and welcome to TSF,

No, do not follow instructions given for other users as infected systems are rarely exactly the same.

I'm not seeing plugin131_04.trace & NTUSER in the log. Did you end task or delete them before running this scan?

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad since you will not have any of browsers open while you are fixing this. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab:
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm and then click OK.

Download CleanUp! (Alternate Link if main link doesn't work) and install it. Do not run it yet.

Please download Ewido Security Suite at http://www.ewido.net/en/download/.

1. Install Ewido Security Suite.
2. When installing, under 'Additional Options' uncheck:
* Install background guard
* Install scan via context menu

3. Launch Ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop, double click it.
4. The program will now open to the main screen.
5. When you run Ewido for the first time, you will get a warning 'Database could not be found!'. Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
6. You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files.
* On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
* Then click on Start Update.
7. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed. The status bar at the bottom will display 'Update successful'.
8. Exit Ewido. DO NOT scan yet.

If you are having problems with the updater, you can go to http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/ to update manually.

Download L2MFix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts. Do not run it yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Now open Ewido and do a scan on your system.

* Click on Scanner
* Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
* NOTE: During some scans with Ewido it is finding cases of false positives.
o You will need to step through the process of cleaning files one-by-one.
o If Ewido detects a file you KNOW to be legitimate, select none as the action.
o Do NOT select 'Perform action on all infections'
o If you are unsure of any entry found, select none for now as the action.
* Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
* Click Save report.
* Save the report .txt file to your desktop or a location where you can find it easily.

Go into Hijack This->Config->Misc. Tools->Open process manager. Select the following and click “Kill process” for each one if they are still listed (they shouldn't be - but double check it):(You must kill them one at a time).

C:\WINDOWS\system32\svcnet.exe

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinProfile] sndcfg16.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Shellapi32] svcnet.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [WinProfile] sndcfg16.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [wwrr] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\wwrr\wwrrm.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Shellapi32] svcnet.exe
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
O4 - Startup: taskmgr.exe
O20 - Winlogon Notify: ShellScrap - C:\WINDOWS\system32\IMEproperty.dll
O21 - SSODL: System - {93042C95-9DD5-46DD-BBA5-27E960012A6B} - (no file)

Delete the following Files and Folders if they still exist.

C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\wwrr
C:\WINDOWS\system32\IMEproperty.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svcnet.exe
sndcfg16.exe <Do a search via Start>Search and delete

CleanUp! deletes EVERYTHING out of your temp/temporary folders, it does not make backups. If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any Temporary Folders, please make a backup of these before running CleanUp! If you have a 64 bit Operating System do NOT run Cleanup and let me know as we will use another utility
Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu). Set the program up as follows:
*Click "Options..."
*Move the arrow down to "Standard CleanUp!"
*Uncheck the following:
-Delete Newsgroup cache
-Delete Newsgroup Subscriptions
-Scan local drives for temporary files
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program. Reboot/logoff when prompted.

Reboot into Normal Mode.

Please run an online scan at http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm
Make sure you click the "Free Online Virus Scan" in the upper right hand corner of the page under the Free use Activescan header. We do NOT want the default spyXposer scan.
  1. Click on the Scan your PC button & a 'pop up' window shall appear. * ensure that your pop up blocker doesn't block it
  2. Click On 'Scan Now'
  3. Enter your e-mail address & click 'Scan Now' ...begins downloading Panda's ActiveX controls.- 8MB
  4. Begin the scan by selecting My Computer
    * You needn't remain online while it's doing the scan but you have to re-connect after it has finished to see the report.
  5. If it finds any malware, it will offer you a report. Click on see report
  6. Then click Save report
  7. Post the contents of the report in your next reply.
* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan

Now open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing Enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening. After a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 or any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

I will need the following logs:

New HijackThis log
Ewido Scan results
Panda ActiveScan results
L2Mfix log

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing Enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2MFix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

IF it hangs and doesn't give you a notepad popup, then please proceed to open the l2mfix folder and click on the file second.bat This should allow the fix to continue and you should then get a log in notepad.

Reboot into Safe Mode.

Go into Hijack This->Config->Misc. Tools->Open process manager. Select the following and click “Kill process” for each one if they are still listed (they shouldn't be - but double check it):(You must kill them one at a time).

C:\WINDOWS\system32\sms_msn.exe
C:\Program Files\eBlocs\SpyBlocs\GLF165.exe

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:

EBlocs <--This is considered rogueware
Serials3k

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

O2 - BHO: ngsh35.clsIS - {392BAF48-A26A-45B5-9263-97128E429268} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ngsh35.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sms_msn] C:\WINDOWS\system32\sms_msn.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AutoUpdate] C:\Program Files\Serials3k\s3k_autoupdate.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SpyBlocs] C:\Program Files\eBlocs\SpyBlocs\GLF165.exe

Delete the following Files and Folders if they still exist.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\sms_msn.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ngsh35.dll
C:\Program Files\Serials3k
C:\Program Files\eBlocs

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu). Set the program up as follows:
*Click "Options..."
*Move the arrow down to "Standard CleanUp!"
*Uncheck the following:
-Delete Newsgroup cache
-Delete Newsgroup Subscriptions
-Scan local drives for temporary files
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program. Reboot/logoff when prompted.

Reboot into Normal Mode.

Please run an online scan at http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm
Make sure you click the "Free Online Virus Scan" in the upper right hand corner of the page under the Free use Activescan header. We do NOT want the default spyXposer scan.
  1. Click on the Scan your PC button & a 'pop up' window shall appear. * ensure that your pop up blocker doesn't block it
  2. Click On 'Scan Now'
  3. Enter your e-mail address & click 'Scan Now' ...begins downloading Panda's ActiveX controls.- 8MB
  4. Begin the scan by selecting My Computer
    * You needn't remain online while it's doing the scan but you have to re-connect after it has finished to see the report.
  5. If it finds any malware, it will offer you a report. Click on see report
  6. Then click Save report
  7. Post the contents of the report in your next reply along with a new HijackThis log and the L2Mfix log.
* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan
