Iam currently with Virgin Media using there own wired router which i connected to the following wireless N router(Belkin F5D8235-4). In three weeks time Iam moving to Sky so I will need an ADSL version.
IS THIS CORRECT?

Sky said they will supply me with the following G router (DSL-2640S) sagem/d-link but not sure which one. I just googled it.

The question I have is that SKY said i can bridge their router to my N router.
WHAT IS THIS AND HOW DO I DO IT.

I did ask for an N router but they said they only supply the G router

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED ON HOW TO USE AN N ROUTER AS I NEED A BIG WIRELESS RANGE.

ADSL Router

I am in the process of moving to SKY, changing to a BT line. Can I use the Netgear N300 router instead on an ADSL line.

Quick response would be appreciated.

a little confused on all your Posts
you are with virgin media , but moving from Sky to BT

are this simply different people your helping

Is there a specific reason you want to use a "N" router - is it just for the increased range
From my experience of some N routers, it very much depends on the building - I have a couple where the range does not extend much further , then the G

Re: ADSL Router

Is this related to the other posts

So you are on virginmedia and moving to SKY and will be getting broadband via the telephone instead of via the cable supplied by VM

and that telephone line will be a BT line
so you need an ADSL modem / modem/router combination

Support for that router

ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/wnr3500l_ds_30sep09.pdf

That is just a router and requires a Modem to connect to the telephone line or cable

now as per your other questions - some routers will allow you to setup in bridge mode - which means it nolonger acts as a router and just as a modem

a little more detail may help us here

nimesh2604 - I have merged both of your Threads. It's confusing for someone assisting you if you have a similar existing Thread. Thanks.
